Salina is an Italian island located in the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands in the north of Sicily. The Aeolian Islands form a volcanic archipelago of seven islands. They have been listed as World Heritage by Unesco since 2000.

In 2014, Dolce & Gabbana launched a limited edition of Light Blue which also paid tribute to one of the islands of the Aeolian archipelago: Panarea.

Salina is the most luxuriant of the archipelago, its land is fertile where the grapes used to make the wine “Malvasia delle Lipari” are cultivated there.
