The Private Collection was born in 2009 in order to showcase the beautiful waters composed under the aegis of Heidi Slimane and the magnificent original and inventive creations of the house perfumer, François Demachy. If Ambre Nuit opened the ball of the perfumer's rare fragrances, the following very numerous opuses in 2010 were intended above all to pay tribute to Christian Dior's couture.
However, François Demachy was not going to stop at flowers, far from it! He took advantage of the great freedom of tone given to him for this Private Collection to work with his favorite raw materials, including spices and oriental woods.

Oud wood is a raw material widely used in modern perfumery. However François Demachy himself chose the best of these wood essences to compose around this warm and mysterious note a racy leather perfume but above all very representative of the scents of L'Orient by adding the spices that the perfumer loves so much.
Thus Leather Oud opens with an essence of cardamom married to a lively and fresh bergamot. At the heart we dive into a bath of hot spices thanks to the essence of cloves and the nervous power of geranium. A touch of jasmine brings its delicate and flowery luminosity to the whole. Finally, the essence of oud wood from Indonesia, powerful, vibrant almost alive, becomes notes of leather magnified by birch to better transport us to the intense and woody depths of patchouli, sandalwood and amber wood. Cistus and labdanum reinforce this cocktail of oriental masculinity for a fiery wind of sensuality.
