Oud wood is the dream of all perfumers, including of course the beautiful house Réminiscence, which has focused since its first creations in 1970 on the enhancement of rare raw materials. Yet the famous oud is very difficult to find, because its rarity makes it a luxury item that trades like a gold nugget. But nothing is impossible with a valiant heart, so the Réminiscence house and its Fabrice Pellegrin nose waited for the opportunity to finally own this precious oud to make it a fragrance as diverse as it is strong in character.
Indeed according to Fabrice Pellegrin the creator, in particular, of Oud: “Today, young people who start dreaming only of 'making an oud', and this is quite understandable: it is rare for a raw material to offer so many facets. - spicy, smoky, leathery, animal, woody - and complexity ”.
Spices, woods and leathers will be the ingredients chosen by Réminiscence to highlight this beautiful treasure in a precious and mysterious Oud. A mystery which thickens all the more at the sight of its visual in perfumery because Oud is revealed only in a thick and brown smoke twirling around its bottle. Reminiscence will tell you nothing more, you will have to come and discover this treasure through your own nostrils!
A modern and mixed oriental signed Réminiscence: Oud
The beautiful Oud bottle has lost its stars in favor of its case but continues to exude the refined elegance of the glasses created for the Les Classiques de Réminiscence collection. Sober but effective, the Oud bottle remains slightly inclined at its base but has swapped the cylindrical stopper of its elders for a very geometric golden and lacquered cabochon.
Oud de Réminiscence offers to open the ball of its splendor a tangy blend of bergamot propelled by cardamom from Guatemala and pink pepper from Reunion. At the heart the rose infusion and jasmine petals offer their delicacies and flowery opulence to a spicy sweetness composed of saffron essential oil. The oud wood, star of the fragrance, appears in the woody depths accompanied by its multiple notes of exotic woods built around sandalwood, cedar wood, guaiac wood and cashmere wood. These woody splendours are magnified by fir balsam absolute and by the animal nature of labdanum. Tonka bean delicacies punctuate this powerful ensemble.
