The fragrance for Men Quatre from Maison Boucheron
In 1966, Nino and Zoé founded Réminiscence and cultivated their olfactory difference against the big brands. "Rem" is in fact the anagram of the word Sea. It is in memory of their love of the sea, but also of a stay in Saint-Barthélemy, that Nino and Zoé decided to create in 1996, "Rem" .
Rem's aquafloral fragrance
With "Rem", Réminiscence introduces a new style of perfume combining salty and amber notes. The brand describes its composition as "a thrill that comes from a dip in water after a sunbath" ... "Rem" opens with very fresh notes of calone, a synthetic molecule which perfectly reproduces the iodized smell of the sea. The calone is accompanied by jasmine and
lilac, which gives an important notion of sweetness within the composition. The heart is woody with the presence of patchouli and tonka bean. It also offers powdery and amber notes thanks to white musks and vanilla. A unique and very delicate olfactory marriage, mixing hot sun, sea, iodine and relaxation.
Rem or the exoticism of the island of Saint-Barthélemy
The composition "Rem" is represented as a real ode to holidays, to the sea, to hot sand. This fragrance was born from a trip to the island of Saint-Barthélemy. Arrived without sun protection, Zoe and Nino rush to buy a sunscreen, from Garnier! There, they fell in love with smell and they decided to retransmit this fragrance as a souvenir of this trip, as they do regularly. The bottle is translucent turquoise blue like that of a lagoon on an exotic island. The shape of the bottle forms a sort of drop of water surmounted by an algae as a cabochon. The bottle could also make us think of a smooth pebble, polished by the sea. "Rem" can be inspired by the tropical sun and contains a scent of a distant land, a desire for elsewhere. This fragrance has succeeded in capturing the moment when the sun illuminates our steps on the sand, the moment when wild iodine is at its peak. Facets which are opposed and which nevertheless sign the strength of this composition.
Nino Amaddeo and his muse Zoé are used to scent creating what they bring back from their various trips. They like to draw their inspiration from their travels… “Rem” is no exception to the rule and remains a composition transcribed verbatim after a stay in Saint-Barthémély. If it evokes the holidays, “Rem” contains secrets of hot sand, iodine and scorching sun.
