One Love: The Scherrer woman is reborn in 2015 ...
Very often, these two worlds come together and give birth to sumptuous fragrances. This is the case with Boucheron's new creation: Serpent Bohème, a feminine fragrance paying tribute to one of the brand's most famous jewelry collections.
Serpent Bohème, a floral bouquet for a free and emancipated woman
Serpent Bohème is a fragrance that refers to the famous protective jewel of Boucheron, also called Serpent Bohème. Thus, it is a nod to the history and prestige of Boucheron, while addressing the women of today, more free and emancipated than ever. Composed for a daring woman, it also echoes the symbolism of the snake, recognized as a protective animal. To create this masterpiece of perfumery, Boucheron called on one of the greatest perfumers on the planet: Anne Flipo. “Serpent Bohème embodies a free spirit,” she says, “independence, and elegance of course, without conventions or diktas. It celebrates day-to-day life, guided by beauty and dreams. The perpetual rebirth of the snake that shifts, like an endlessly renewed promise of happiness ”.
More specifically, on a purely olfactory level, Serpent Bohème is similar to a generous bouquet. This is based on two stars of women's perfumery: rose and jasmine. Here, the best varieties of these flowers have been selected. The rose turns out to be delicious, fresh, voluptuous or luminous. Jasmine, on the other hand, is more solar. The whole is refreshed with mandarin and blackcurrant. Then, little by little, Serpent Bohème evolves towards a more woody and musky base, mixing sandalwood, patchouli, cistus labdanum and white musk.
Boucheron's jewel bottle
Obviously, to echo all his know-how as a jeweler, Boucheron has bet on a bottle of great beauty. This one is covered with snake scales, as a reference to the iconic jewel of the brand. Gold is also ubiquitous. Appearing both in its juice and on its cork or on its name, it gives a more prestigious and luxurious look to this bottle. An elegant black satin tie also wraps around her neck like a necklace. Everything is contained in a delicately embossed box, covered with white scales. From then on, only Serpent Bohème lacked a muse worthy of the name. It is now done with the model Joséphine le Tutour. In the advertisement for this feminine perfume, she appears with loose hair, dressed in a white blouse and wearing Boucheron's Serpent Bohème necklace. The frank and direct look, it symbolizes here the natural elegance and the liberated personality of the women of our time.
