Le Jour se Lève on a new fragrance by Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton house is above all famous for its fashion and its leather goods. It has entered the world of perfumery much more recently. For this, she surrounded herself with the help of one of the most prestigious perfumers in the world: Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. In 2016, he made a blend of seven fragrances for Louis Vuitton, delivering all the beauty of the world to us through fascinating and emotionally charged scents. The news has just fallen and this prestigious assortment will soon be enriched with a new composition. Louis Vuitton’s Le Jour se Lève fragrance is due out in March 2018.

Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, a renowned perfumer

Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud was not chosen at random by the Louis Vuitton houseto mark its entry into the world of perfumery. His father was himself a perfumer and it was by his side that he learned the basics of the olfactory world. The day after obtaining his baccalaureate, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud began working in a factory in Grasse where he learned to distill flowers. Barely 18 years old, he made his first formula. Nevertheless, it took him time and experience to come up with the talent that today possesses. He then worked for 22 years at the service of Firmenich, until being recruited by Louis Vuitton in 2012. From there, he traveled the world for four years in search of the finest raw materials. He made a collection of 7 perfumes that we discovered in 2016.

Dawn as a source of inspiration for Louis Vuitton

To make Le Jour se Lève, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud was inspired by dawn. Indeed, for him, it is a precious moment which reveals the best of nature. Dawn seems to be the moment when anything is still possible. This is the moment when the first rays of the sun illuminate the still fresh and pure nature. Overall, Le Jour se Lève is a fresh, romantic and very positive scent. Non-heady and particularly airy, it is ideal for summer days. It is therefore no coincidence that the Louis Vuitton brand has decided to deliver its scent to us at the time of spring.

The fresh and floral breath of Le Jour se Lève fragrance

Le Jour se Lève begins with one of Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud’s favorite ingredients : mandarin orange . This citrus leaves here an incomparable liveliness and freshness. This small fruit is accompanied by blackcurrant and both then evolve towards a more floral heart. Sambac jasmine is associated with magnolia and osmanthus. Little by little, Le Jour se Lève becomes warmer, as if the first rays of the sun were raising the barometer. It finally ends with the sensuality of musk.
