Three centuries ago in India, Emperor Shah Jahan fell head over heels in love with Princess Mumtaz Mahal. He created the wonderful Shalimar Gardens for her, then dedicated the Taj Mahal to her.

The story of this mad love inspired Guerlain with a legendary fragrance: Shalimar. With Shalimar Parfum Initial, Thierry Wasser is now reinterpreting the legendary perfume. A luminous and delicate creation, homage to oriental pleasure.

For L’Eau Si Sensuelle, creator Thierry Wasser has ignored the perceptible notes of orange, patchouli, and musks, characteristic of Shalimar Parfum Initial.

This new version, which opens with notes of bergamot, neroli and grapefruit, is lighter than the original. Its floral heart contains notes of Damascus rose, iris, jasmine, vanilla and tonka bean.
