Houbigant – Duke of Vernis

Houbigant - Duc de Vernis - Bottle
Houbigant – Duc de Vernis – Bottle

Directly descended from another perfume for men Houbigant, the Duc de Vervins was created using as a base the formula of Fougère Royale.Fougère Royale is mentioned in the Genealogy of Perfumes since its creation by Houbigant in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Paris) in 1882. From this fragrance Houbigant developed the Duc de Vervins in 1985 as a modern interpretation of his original creation. In a noble accord of essences, the Duke combines the freshness of the forest with the aroma of woody and spicy notes, creating a fragrance befitting a man of impeccable taste.

A fragrance around a fern accord, starting with the freshness of citrus fruits from the Mediterranean, to blossom on an aromatic heart spiced with lavender and pepper, leaving a subtly woody sweetness on the skin.
