Indeed, it has been more than 100 years that the Berdoues house has been developing exceptional perfumes. A true pioneer in the field of Colognes, it is to this type of product that she has now chosen to devote an entire olfactory line. However, do not think that these are aging scents. Indeed, these last ones take care at the same time of a very contemporary aspect. They are in a way timeless and are the result of a perpetual quest for excellence. Each of the Berdoues Colognes then has its own personality. The project is beautiful and unique and aims to collect the best raw materials from the earth to take us with each new outing on a real olfactory journey. What is more, each Berdoues Grand Cru benefits from a prolonged maceration in the Berdoues vats which only accentuates their character and personality.
Maasai Mara, an African journey
As the name of Maasaï Mara suggests, Berdoues offers us here a formidable journey in the heart of a distant land. Also, if you are not keen on geography, know that the Maasai Mara is the name of the national reserve located in southwestern Kenya, an extension of Tanzania. What is more, the traditionally African tribes are called the Maasai and the river crossing this reserve is none other than the Mara. Maasaï Mara is therefore a scent loaded with animality, a real opening towards the great spaces of the savannah. What's more, it has a visual that says a lot about its belonging to Africa. Its rectangular bottle, typical of the Collection des Grands Crus de Berdoues, is thus covered with a pattern similar to that of an African fabric. The whole then contains a mixed aromatic scent suitable for both men and women. This opens with vegetal notes of ivy before evolving into a more floral heart. The latter revolves in particular around the flavor of Agathosma, a creeping plant commonly used in Africa as a remedy. Finally, it all ends with the more enveloping power of coffee.
