Selfish Platinum, eloquent but so unique
Issey Miyake also revolutionized the world of perfumery, notably with her first fragrance "L'Eau d'Issey", a feminine fragrance that is as light as a drop of water. In 2012, the Japanese fashion designer wanted to put the pleated collection in the spotlight and presented “ Pleats Please ”. One year later, in 2013, Issey Miyake unveiled a new version "Peats Please, Eau de Parfum", more floral and more delicious than its elder.
Pleats Please, Eau de Parfum, with violet in the spotlight
The new version of "Pleats Please" is still a way of paying tribute to the collection of pleats created in 1989. Issey Miyake has put the pleated garment back in the spotlight, when the latter had fallen into disuse. The pleated is currently trendy, brought up to date and used with passion by the Japanese designer. “Pleats Please, l'Eau de Parfum” is also a tribute to this pleated collection, even if the eau de parfum differs from its elder. Here, it is the violet which is at the center of the composition. The Gourmand violet brings roundness and intensity to the new variation of Issey Miyake, "Pleats Please, l'Eau de Parfum".
Pleats Please, Eau de Parfum, an ultra gourmet fragrance
It was perfumer Aurélien Guichard who created this fragrance. On this subject, he says “L'Eau de Parfum Pleats Please is like biting into a violet macaroon”. Here, the violet is sublimated by floral and gourmet notes. "Pleats Please, Eau de Parfum" begins with flowers of violets, magnificent and radiant with beauty. These are joined by fruity notes, which offer a gourmet aspect to the composition. The heart is elegant thanks to the presence of peonies and sweet peas. The base is sensual and generous with patchouli and vanilla. Dynamic and colorful, Issey Miyake's fragrance exudes happiness, like the original. As for the bottle, it also takes the lines of its predecessor. In a multifaceted shape representing the famous pleats, the bottle is this time tinged with purple, in homage to the violet of the composition. In a very high fashion way, the name of the perfume comes to rest in an unstructured way on this bottle, which is surmounted by a cabochon with a pleated effect.
One after “Pleats Please”, Issey Miyake presents his variation “Pleats Please, Eau de Parfum”. If this fragrance always pays homage to the famous collection of clothing "Pleats Please", the latter is however more gourmet. The violet at the heart of the composition brings refinement and indulgence to this eau de parfum. The pleats, given back to the spotlight thanks to Issey Miyake, prove once again their beauty and usefulness in the field of fashion and that of perfumery.
