Quite simply by waiting more than ten years after the release of Poison, in 1994, to offer us a vegetal and dynamic antidote which would be called Tendre Poison. Do not look for anything poisonous in this Tendre Poison if it is not its famous note of tuberose which still carries us along in marvelous fairy tales.
Tendre Poison, the very first descendant of the iconic Poison de Dior
According to its creator, Edouard Fléchier, it would be very difficult to go as far in the composition as he did with Poison in 1985. The overdose of spices, exotic and heady flowers, like materials first animals, have made Poison a legendary scent that cannot be copied, or even equaled.
It is precisely, based on this observation, that the Dior house waited almost ten years before proposing a variation of its iconic Poison, Tendre Poison. Moreover in the 90s, the variations of perfumes were very rare, Edouard Fléchier was thus twice very daring to propose Tendre Poison vis-a-vis his immortal Poison.
However, Tendre Poison was able to mark the spirits, and not only because he was the first descendant of a family which would become very long thereafter. It is above all his original and daring composition that made him a beautiful perfume which, to the chagrin of his lovers, disappeared in the 2000s in favor of Hypnotic Poison or Midnight Poison. With Tendre Poison, Dior thus signed the return of Poison and the beginning of a long saga scented with original variations in the fantastic universe.
When tuberose becomes the star of the Tendre Poison fragrance ...
If Tendre Poison wants to be a very different facet of its illustrious elder Poison, it nonetheless has some of its characteristics.
For example, the bottle has been kept for this Tendre Poison while displaying the most vivid apple green in order to stand out all the same from its predecessor and to display its beautiful vegetal colors.
In addition, Tendre Poison retains, despite many changes, the tuberose that made the success of the first perfume while matching it with beautiful and rather surprising novelties. Indeed, the so mysterious and opulent flower will first of all be highlighted by citrus top notes but also ultra dynamic thanks to the galbanum. Then roses, orange blossoms and freesia will bring to "Madame la Tubéreuse" a lively and fruity elegance, both fresh and delicate. Finally, vanilla, heliotrope and sandalwood will turn into velvet to better curl up in comfortable white musks.
Tendre Poison has therefore been able to retain the opulence of tuberose which had made Poison famous while opening up to young women who are more adepts of flowery and fresh scents. Tendre Poison thus tells us a new fantastic tale, but this one is all dressed in green and flowers.
