The new black ebony monolith of This is Him by Zadig & Voltaire
In 2016, and as the Zadig & Voltaire brand is preparing to celebrate its 20 years of existence, we have welcomed two new fragrances to the brand. One is for women and is called This is Her. The other is intended for men and is called This is Him . As Cecilia Bönström, artistic director of Zadig & Voltaire explains, the aim of this olfactory conception was to “find the right balance between a very clear and fresh scent and a darker and more mysterious touch”. Also, it is precisely this contrast that we find in the Zadig & Voltaire bottles. So, how about taking a closer look at its masculine setting?
The rock ‘n’ roll contrast of the new Zadig & Voltaire
Zadig & Voltaire is a luxury brand aimed directly at young people. Also, behind its deep refinement, the brand has never hidden its rock ‘n’ roll side. Moreover, it is this contrast that has created a real fascination among customers. Indeed, Zadig & Voltaire did not hesitate to match cashmere sweaters with boots and a leather jacket. Also, if this set of oppositions appears in each of the house’s couture creations, it is precisely this that we find in the new Zadig & Voltaire perfume.

Thus, This is Him is displayed in a particularly neat bottle. This forms a thick rectangle firmly anchored in the ground and elegantly lacquered in black, a sober color par excellence. It features sharp edges and three perfectly smooth surfaces. However, the rebellious side of Zadig & Voltaire resurfaces where we do not expect it … The right side of this bottle is much more raw, as if cut straight from the rock.
