The Panthère de Cartier is available in Eau de Toilette
In 2014, Cartier unveiled “La Panthère”, a sensual and feline juice , a reinterpretation of the first panther from 1987. In 2015, “La Panthère light” was born. Here, "La Panthère" reinvents itself in a light way. It imposes its free and passionate character through the gardenia, always present in the composition, but also through the Tiare flower.
A new facet of La Panthère
After “La Panthère” and before “La Panthère Édition du Soir” which was created in 2016, Cartier offers us a new facet with “La Panthère Légère”. If it is as feline as the original, “La Panthère Légère” is meant to be more summery, brighter. We must not forget that the panther is the emblem of the Cartier house. An emblem that refers to Jeanne Toussaint. If the latter is at the origin of the most beautiful jewelry of the Cartier house, she was also the mistress of Louis Cartier. The panther is therefore a sentimental symbol, it represents the origins of the Cartier house. Here, the sensual notes of musk mingle with a dazzling gardenia and the exoticism of the Tiare flower.
The luminous and sensual notes of La Panthère Légère
For this new interpretation, Mathilde Laurent, perfumer who has already imagined “La Panthère”, wanted a luminous version via a floral-fawn accord. The chypre musk-gardenia accord is illuminated by a solar effect thanks to the notes of Tiare flower. “La Panthère, Légère Eau de Parfum” opens with green notes associated with those of dried fruits. The heart is embellished with a vibrant gardenia. This will combine with the Tiare flower, exotic and vanilla. There are also notes of jasmin, peach, rose or even ylang-ylang. The trail is woody and sensual thanks to the presence of patchouli, oak moss, leather and orris root. The bottle of "La Panthère Légère" features a bottle that is more slender than its predecessor. Its lines are fine and we can make out the face of the panther carved out of the glass. Its geometric silhouette seems to have been engraved in 3D, for a relief effect. Like the bottle of its predecessor, that of "La Panthère Légère" is majestic, a bit like an animal ...
One year after “La Panthère”, Cartier presents “La Panthère Légère”. If the gardenia is still present, this time it is associated with the Tiare flower, which gives the composition exoticism and luminosity. “La Panthère Légère” is aimed at free, elegant and sensual women. If this new version of the fetish animal is lighter, it is nonetheless ultra feminine and very passionate.
