Kenzo's sentimental journey
Today, Kenzo wanted to revisit its perfume. If the new “Kenzo pour Homme” is always a delicious contrast between aquatic and woody notes, it is nonetheless more modern, more real… As if to reaffirm the origins and values of the brand.
Kenzo Homme, the harmony of aquatic and woody scents
In order to make this new juice, Kenzo called on Nathalie Gracia-Cetto and Olivier Pescheux, renowned perfumers. They imagined an olfactory composition full of ingredients. "Kenzo pour Homme" begins with very invigorating notes with the presence of lemon and bergamot. The mint and the aquatic accord help to reinforce this impression and offer a great sensation of freshness. The character of “Kenzo pour Homme” is then revealed thanks to a very spicy heart composed of nutmeg, thyme and cloves. Then, a woody smell makes its appearance with the presence of pine needles and that of juniper. The peach softens the whole and envelops it in extreme pleasure. While rose, iris and jasmine offer an elegant floral aspect. The base trail is very masculine with the association of white musks, amber, vetiver, oak moss, sandalwood, cedar and labdanum. A strong character for a virile scent at will.
The revisited bottle of "Kenzo Homme, eau de parfum"
The bottle of the first “Kenzo Homme” had greatly impressed with its particular and unconventional design. This is why Kenzo wanted to keep the same bottle. The latter looks like a glass case that turns towards the wind. The glass is different from its that of its elder, it is more patinated, as if the sea had left traces of its passage. Here we find bamboo, carved in glass, a symbol of the Orient. Bamboo brings us back to spirituality and wholeness. The bottle also offers us a gradient of blue that begins with a transparent luminosity at its base to a very intense blue, which gives off a very pure appearance. Like the composition, the bottle reflects an extreme and powerful virility.
Kenzo wanted to revisit its great success “Kenzo pour Homme” released in 1991. If it is always composed of contrast between aquatic and woody notes, “Kenzo Homme” is more complex, more powerful, more modern. The bottle, very similar to its elder, assumes a virile but very pure side… The new male reference.
